Updated Oct. 1, 2026, 6:35 p.m. ET
Weeks after Fox News announced Maria Bartiromo’s unexpected departure, more details regarding her replacement and the reshuffling of programming have surfaced.
New Morning Show Details
On Oct. 1, Fox Business Network revealed that Bartiromo’s three-hour morning show, “Mornings with Maria,” will be replaced by “Big Money in the Morning,” airing weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m. ET. This new program will feature hosts Dagen McDowell, Brian Brenberg, Taylor Riggs, and Josh Schafer, expanding the network’s “The Big Money” franchise.
McDowell and Brenberg will transition from their evening slot on “The Bottom Line” to their new morning responsibilities, with reruns of “Kudlow” filling their previous time slot. McDowell, Brenberg, and Riggs will also exit “The Big Money Show,” which will now include rotating co-hosts Cheryl Casone, Marcus Lemonis, and Lou Basenese, while host Jackie DeAngelis remains.
The revamped lineup is set to premiere on Oct. 12.
Bartiromo’s Departure Explained
Bartiromo’s exit from Fox News has generated significant speculation. During her 12-year tenure, she anchored multiple programs, including “Mornings with Maria” and “Sunday Morning Futures,” which is now hosted by Larry Kudlow. Fox News Media announced that Bartiromo’s association with the network ended immediately as of Sept. 3, with no specific rationale given.
A statement from Fox News thanked Bartiromo for her contributions and wished her well in future endeavors. Bartiromo’s attorney denied that she was fired, while Vice President JD Vance dismissed rumors suggesting she might take on a role as White House press secretary.
Reports indicate that her exit may be linked to a leaked incident involving the White House. Bartiromo, who joined Fox Business in 2014 after a long career at CNBC, gained recognition as the first woman to report from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and was known for her strong support of the Trump administration.
Bartiromo has not publicly commented on her departure aside from expressing gratitude on social media for the support she has received.
