Annie White, the chief commercial officer at U.S. Figure Skating, was recognized on Wednesday in New York City as one of the honorees of the 16th annual Sport’s Business Journal’s Game Changers Class of 2026. She is among 60 women globally honored for their leadership and contributions to the sports business.
In her remarks, White expressed her gratitude, stating, “This is an incredible honor… I’d also like to acknowledge my hardworking team.” Under her leadership, U.S. Figure Skating achieved a 20% increase in sponsorship revenue during the last Olympic season and reached record attendance at national championships.
White was instrumental in initiatives like the Winter House, a collaborative space created alongside USA Hockey and US Speedskating during the Milan Cortina Games. This effort, which garnered significant sponsorship support, allowed athletes from various sports to connect, leading to discussions of replication for future events, including the upcoming Olympics in 2030.
She highlighted that the responses from athletes were overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing the importance of such spaces in enhancing the sports experience.
