Stellantis CEO Reinforces 2026 Goals Amid Stock Decline
DETROIT – Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis, reaffirmed the company’s financial targets for 2026 during a recent event, despite the automaker’s U.S. shares hitting an all-time low. The company is aiming for a mid-single-digit percentage increase in net revenue and a low-single-digit adjusted operating margin for this year.
Filosa emphasized Stellantis’ commitment to becoming cash flow positive by next year and generating over €3 billion ($3.4 billion) in free cash flow by 2028.
As of Tuesday, shares of Stellantis closed at a record low of $4.36, reflecting a nearly 60% decline this year, positioning the company for its worst annual performance since its formation from the merger of Fiat Chrysler and PSA Groupe in January 2021.
To address these challenges, Stellantis is executing a $70 billion turnaround plan that focuses on enhancing sales through regional brands like Ram and Jeep, while maintaining its 14-brand portfolio. The strategy includes better brand management, new investments, stronger partnerships, and optimized manufacturing.
Analysts from RBC Capital Markets noted the potential for a breakup of the company could be a viable long-term option, even as Filosa remains committed to the current structure, emphasizing the importance of customer engagement in their strategy.
