The Gladstone Downtown Development Authority has revamped its Facade Program for 2027 to aid downtown business and property owners in improving the aesthetics of their buildings. Community Development and DDA Director Patricia West announced that the program will now be open year-round, allowing more flexibility compared to the previous two-month application window.
Eligible projects can receive funding that covers 75% of the costs, with a maximum of $5,000 available from the DDA. The program now also welcomes tenants, alongside property owners, to apply for grants with the owner’s approval.
Local business owners, like Brooke Johnson from Gladstone Dairy Flow, expressed gratitude for the city’s initiatives, noting plans to enhance their facility.
Applications for the program will be accessible on the city’s website starting Monday.
