Fox Business Network is set to overhaul its morning programming by replacing Maria Bartiromo’s single-anchor show with a new group format dubbed “Big Money in the Mornings.” This roundtable-style show will feature hosts Dagen McDowell, Brian Brenberg, and Taylor Riggs, along with Josh Schafer from Barron’s, aimed at competing with CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Since Bartiromo’s removal in August, which was linked to the leaking of company information, Fox Business has lacked a regular early-morning anchor. Bartiromo was a prominent figure in the network, anchoring both “Mornings With Maria” and “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street.”
Additionally, Liz Claman will debut a new Friday-night show, “Claman’s Power Players,” at 7 p.m. ET. The network will also introduce more rotating hosts for the noon edition of “The Big Money Show.”
Fox Business aims to maximize viewership during market hours with its new morning program, which will blend breaking business news, debate, and analysis. This approach follows the success of roundtable formats in the broader Fox News Media landscape, known for popular shows like “The Five” and “Gutfeld.” McDowell has been with Fox News since 2003, while Brenberg joined in 2020.
