Global Gaming Expo Launches at the Venetian with Increasing AI Influence on Casino Floors

The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) is currently taking place at the Venetian Expo Center in Las Vegas, focusing on new gaming technology, including the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the casino industry. The expo allows attendees to preview upcoming games and assess the adoption of AI in various aspects of gaming and hospitality.

While some attendees, like Susie De Los Santos, are excited about AI’s integration into slot machines, others, like Joe Mignano, express caution, acknowledging both benefits and concerns. Vendors are showcasing products aimed at improving customer service and gaming operations, with companies like Sales Dragon AI emphasizing the importance of better communication in casinos.

The gaming sector is looking to leverage AI to enhance creativity and expedite game development processes. Matthew Primmer from Aristocrat Gaming highlighted the potential for AI to augment their creative teams and improve game distribution across platforms. Meanwhile, Andrew Burke of Bluberi noted that the focus is on utilizing AI as a tool to enhance human work rather than replace it.

Despite the enthusiasm, Alan Feldman from UNLV’s Global Gaming Institute cautioned that the adoption of AI in gaming is progressing slowly, as operators are carefully assessing its value. G2E typically draws large crowds, with last year’s attendance reaching around 25,000. Final numbers for this year will be available soon.
