Conroe Advances Proposal to Establish U.S. Space Academy in Texas

The city of Conroe, Texas, is actively pursuing the establishment of a U.S. Space Academy following an executive order from former President Donald Trump. The academy, envisioned as a NASA-led federal school, aims to prepare students for careers in the space industry. Conroe believes it has significant advantages, such as adequate land, infrastructure, and proximity to Johnson Space Center. The city has allocated $25,000 to develop its proposal as Texas competes with other states for the academy, with a submission deadline of October 26.
