Navajo Nation’s North Stone Secures Air Force IT Contract

North Stone LLC, a subsidiary of the Navajo Nation-owned Diné Development Corporation (DDC), has secured a contract to provide technology services for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). Announced on September 22, this contract involves IT maintenance, cloud operations, software development, cybersecurity, and service desk support, aimed at assisting approximately 3,500 personnel across over 300 global locations.

While the details regarding the contract’s value, term, or award number remain undisclosed and couldn’t be verified through public records, North Stone has previously recorded about $26.4 million in federal prime contract obligations over the past three fiscal years.

This award follows DDC’s recent achievement of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2, ensuring compliance with requirements for safeguarding controlled unclassified information in Defense Department contracts. Additionally, DDC announced a $750,000 dividend to the Navajo Nation, its largest to date, contributing over $27 million to the Nation’s general fund since its establishment in 2004.
