Major airlines are allowing passengers to rebook flights for free as a nor’easter storm approaches the Northeast. American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, and United Airlines have issued travel advisories for travel this weekend to and from several airports, including LaGuardia and Logan Airport.
Travelers can change their flight dates until September 29 or 30, depending on the airline. Affected airports range from Virginia to Maine. The advisories come as a major nor’easter is set to hit the East Coast, prompting New York Gov. Kathy Hochul to declare a state of emergency. By Saturday morning, over 88,000 customers had lost power, and more than 250 flights to or from Boston Logan were canceled.
