Shane Nguyen has been appointed as the president of Las Vegas Realtors (LVR) for 2027, taking over from George Kypreos. LVR, Southern Nevada’s largest real estate association, also announced Stephanie Grant as president-elect for 2028. Nguyen expressed excitement about leading LVR, focusing on enhancing member services, education, and advocacy.
The recent election followed years of controversy for LVR, including Kypreos’ refusal to resign amid a class action lawsuit linked to his brokerage, which has now been dismissed. Allegations of election tampering have also surfaced, leading to investigations and the suspension of LVR’s CEO, Wendy DiVecchio, who was later fired and has filed a lawsuit against LVR and its members.
The board’s new appointments include Christina Chipman as Vice President and Susan Brock as Treasurer. Other directors elected include Christopher Fobes, Nicholas Giorgi, Lexy Glassman, David Montanaro, and Jessica Bellai. The board operates monthly meetings and oversees access to the Multiple Listings Service, critical for home listings in the area.
