James Blunt Signs Up for Celebrity Traitors

James Blunt’s wife, Sofia Wellesley, has enrolled him in the upcoming season of The Celebrity Traitors. The “You’re Beautiful” singer revealed on The One Show that he had no prior knowledge of the show and prepared by “speed watching” the previous season after learning about his participation from his wife.
Blunt humorously noted, “I found out from my wife that I was on Celebrity Traitors; she signed me up for it.” He joins fellow contestant Joe Marler, last year’s finalist, who believes that Blunt could be the dark horse of the season.
Marler expressed his admiration for Blunt, saying, “As soon as that cast was revealed, I was like, it’s James! He’s going to be the dark horse.”
Last year’s winner, Alan Carr, deceived fellow finalists Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga to secure his victory. Blunt expressed a desire to emulate Carr’s success, stating, “If I can’t be Alan Carr, then if I would want to be anyone, it would be Joe Marler.”
Fellow contestant Joe Lycett shared his concerns about revealing his true personality on the show, mentioning that people may find his calm, off-stage demeanor suspicious compared to his public persona.
The Celebrity Traitors returns to BBC One on 1 October.
