New Art Space to Open in Downtown Lancaster
LANCASTER, Pa. — A new gallery workspace for local artists is set to open in downtown Lancaster, providing a dedicated area for creation and display.
The Lancaster Parking Authority is introducing the space, called “Makers,” located in Ewell Plaza. It will accommodate 13 local artists, with a monthly rental cost of $450.
Members will benefit from a secured area to work and showcase their art. The Parking Authority plans to have the gallery open to the public on Lancaster Central Market days, which occur on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
The first public opening is scheduled for First Friday on November 6.
