The Business Record has honored Kristi Knous, President of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, as the 2026 Women of Influence Alum of the Year. This award, established in 2024, recognizes past Women of Influence recipients who continue to make significant community impacts.
Knous, previously recognized as a Woman of Influence in 2010, has been pivotal in transforming the foundation into one of the largest community foundations in the U.S., managing over $1 billion in assets and more than 2,700 charitable funds.
Nominated by Suzanna de Baca, Knous is praised for her profound community impact and exceptional leadership. She will be celebrated in the upcoming Fearless Business Record special issue and at the Power of Fearless event on October 22. Tickets are available online.
