Melbourne Square recently hosted an engaging science event with Mad Science of Central Florida on September 19 at JCPenney Court. This free event, which ran from noon to 2 PM, featured hands-on activities organized through Melbourne Square’s Kids Club, aimed at children 12 and under.
During the event, families could enjoy two interactive exploration stations. At the Optical Illusions station, children tested their visual perception and learned how their brains interpret images, including a search for hidden objects. The Detective Science station focused on spy techniques, where participants explored activities like fingerprinting and decoding invisible messages.
Additionally, the first 200 children received a free Spy Kids gift as part of a giveaway. Melbourne Square is located at 1700 West New Haven Ave.
