Motown Automotive Supercenter Shuts Down, Leaving Customers Unable to Retrieve Their Vehicles

The situation at Motown Automotive Supercenter in Detroit has left numerous customers stranded without their vehicles. Many, like Anthony Hogue Sr., who has been waiting since March for his 2019 Dodge Journey, are facing ongoing challenges after the shop closed. Hogue dropped off his car for engine repairs but has encountered continuous delays and additional damage.

As reported, the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office got involved, and the shop’s registration was suspended. A new owner, Kassem Zaher, has taken over the location but noted it was in disarray when he arrived. Hogue’s car has now been moved to another shop, Master Car Care, but he claims he is experiencing similar issues there, including incomplete repairs and difficulty getting responses from the new business.

Frustrated by the situation, Hogue plans to pursue legal action through small claims court, as he still hasn’t received his car back. The situation underscores the importance of accountability in automotive repair businesses.
