James Blunt Set to Star in “The Celebrity Traitors” Season 2
James Blunt will appear in the upcoming season of The Celebrity Traitors, taking place at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. The 52-year-old singer, known for hits like “Goodbye My Lover,” joins a stellar lineup that includes actors Michael Sheen and Richard E. Grant, comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett, and model Rob Beckett.
A Glimpse into James Blunt’s Life Off-Screen
Blunt is married to lawyer Sofia Wellesley, whom he met in 2012. They share a connection to high society, having attended the 2018 wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle due to James’s military ties with Harry. Sofia comes from aristocratic roots as the granddaughter of the 8th Duke of Wellington.
Together, they own The Fox & Pheasant, a gastropub in London. They married on September 6, 2014, in a private ceremony after an Elton John concert, followed by a larger event in Majorca.
The couple has two sons, whose names they keep private, and singer Ed Sheeran is the godfather to one of them. Blunt has spoken about how fatherhood has changed his priorities, emphasizing the importance of being present for his children.
Behind “The Celebrity Traitors”
Blunt’s appearance in The Celebrity Traitors was inspired by Sofia, who signed him up for the show. He shared that he hadn’t watched the series before learning he would be a part of it, jokingly referencing his “speed-watch” of the show.
Life in Ibiza
Blunt also splits his time between the UK and Ibiza, where he purchased a £1.7 million home in 2006. His home was notably ransacked in 2021, with thieves stealing around 100 items. Fortunately, many sentimental items were later recovered by police, including a pocket watch that belonged to his grandfather.
Tune in to see how Blunt and his fellow celebrities fare in the ultimate game of deception and betrayal for charity!
