Ms. Rachel, the popular children’s creator, has pledged to match Macklemore’s impressive $1 million donation to aid Palestinians. Joining this initiative, she emphasizes that “every wealthy white celebrity should” participate.
She revealed her commitment to donate to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, underlining her role as one of their ambassadors. In a heartfelt statement, Ms. Rachel invited fellow celebrities to use their platforms to speak against the ongoing crisis in Gaza, stating, “I will match Macklemore’s donation and I invite every wealthy white celebrity to match it and speak out against the genocide in Gaza.”
She further asserted that celebrities hold a “moral obligation” to leverage their privilege for humanitarian causes.
Macklemore’s donation, originating from his earnings on Ed Sheeran’s “Loop” Tour, has already led to New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft pledging a generous $2 million towards Palestinian relief efforts.
This initiative not only highlights the significance of celebrity activism but also creates a call to action for others in the industry to support humanitarian efforts globally.
