Your Skin Embraces Anti-Aging Science. What’s Next?

Core Biogenesis and Faravelli Explore Biotech for Body Skincare

Core Biogenesis and its Italian partner Faravelli have devised a skincare product called Skin Longevity Butter, aimed at demonstrating how biotechnology used in facial skincare can be adapted for the entire body. The product, currently not available for sale, highlights the potential for advanced skincare formulations beyond the face.

The Innovation Behind the Product

The butter leverages two key proprietary ingredients: Peauforia and Peauvita, which are plant-based biomimetic growth factors designed to mimic the skin’s natural healing processes. These compounds are encapsulated in oleosomes, tiny lipid structures that enhance their delivery to the skin.

To ensure user appeal, the formulation includes Illipe butter and a lipid blend that create a desirable texture, making the science feel less intrusive.

Tony Abboud, Chief Commercial Officer of Core Biogenesis, emphasizes the opportunity to extend skincare routines to the body, focusing on skin health, resilience, and longevity. Skin Longevity Butter is part of a broader Longevity Concepts collection that includes a Lip Longevity Gloss and Eye Longevity Shadow, showcasing how growth factors can also be integrated into cosmetics.

The Bigger Picture

This initiative taps into a growing trend in the beauty industry where longevity is increasingly prioritized across various product categories. Ingredient suppliers are responding by developing technologies to facilitate these innovative formulations.

Distribution plays a crucial role in transforming concepts into market-ready products. Faravelli’s expertise allows them to bridge the gap between formulation ideas and scalable production, often overshadowed in the typical beauty launch narrative.

The Future of Body Care

The concept behind Skin Longevity Butter suggests a shift in the industry’s focus towards products that promote skin repair and renewal rather than simply providing moisture. As body care evolves, we may soon see body butters enriched with advanced formulations akin to those found in facial serums.

In essence, this collaboration is not just about a new product; it signals a transformative direction for body care in the beauty industry, aligning with a growing desire for effective and science-driven solutions.
