The former Kohl’s department store in Roswell, which closed in 2016, has been repurposed as the permanent home for Eagles Nest Church. This transformation represents the culmination of a long journey for the church, which had spent over a decade in temporary locations. Founded in 2012 by Senior Pastor Lee Jenkins, the church grew from just 20 members to a thriving congregation, but lacked a stable venue for its services.
Jenkins’ vision for the space extends beyond a traditional church sanctuary. He intends for it to serve the community as a multi-use facility, including a conference center and concert hall, catering to family-oriented events. The renovated campus boasts a state-of-the-art sanctuary for 1,000 attendees, alongside meeting rooms and a public co-working space.
The church’s opening symbolizes a significant milestone, transforming an abandoned retail site into a vibrant community hub.
