On Sunday, dogs and their owners celebrated the end of the water park season at Waldameer and Water World, participating in the Wags, Waves, and Waldameer event organized by the Erie Humane Society. After hours, local dogs had the unique opportunity to swim and enjoy the wave pool.
The event also offered families chances to socialize, take photos, and support the Erie Humane Society through their participation. Peggy Schneider, the executive director of the society, highlighted the importance of partnerships like this for funding animal care. To join in the fun, dogs were required to have a current license and rabies vaccination.
