Ben Tuckwell recently highlighted his friend Ramsay’s unconventional approach to car building, noting that “nothing with Ray is normal.” Ramsay’s latest project, a unique car build, caught the attention of Hot Wheels spokesperson Nick Bailey, who declared it a “phenomenal build” worthy of being a finalist.
The competition judges, including former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond, faced tough choices, evaluating other entries like a reconfigured 1989 Fiat Panda and a 1951 Tempo Matador truck. Ramsay plans to auction his masterpiece after the competition to benefit a cancer charity, motivated by his recent prostate cancer diagnosis.
Reflecting on his illness, Ramsay shared his fears and expressed gratitude for the support he’s received. He mentioned that working on the Riddler project provided a welcome distraction during his treatment.
