Fire Incident in Southampton, MA
Emergency crews responded to a fire on Pequot Road in Southampton around 8 p.m. Fire Chief Rich Fasoli reported hearing a loud explosion that he initially thought was at his home. Upon arrival, firefighters found Jay’s Mobile Truck Repair engulfed in flames, prompting mutual aid from Easthampton, Westfield, and Holyoke.
Additional support came from tankers at Westover Air Reserve Base and Barnes Air National Guard Base, as well as crews from MassDEP. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
