Gyeonggi Province collaborates with Naver to enhance regional pet product brands.

The 2026 Pet Show Korea showcased a growing trend in South Korea, where pets are increasingly considered family members. Gyeonggi Province has launched a monthlong online initiative, Gyeonggi Petstar, in collaboration with Naver Happybean, to assist local pet supply startups in gaining digital visibility.

This online store features a variety of high-quality products from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), operating through Naver’s platform until October 11. To attract customers, the initiative offers significant discounts and rewards.

The program aims to help local businesses overcome challenges encountered in a competitive e-commerce landscape by providing tailored consulting to enhance their online presence. The showcase is divided into two phases, promoting a total of 20 selected businesses.

This push aligns with the significant rise in pet ownership in Korea, particularly among single-person households, indicating a robust demand for innovative pet products. By utilizing online platforms, local officials aim to foster a sustainable pet product industry.
