The Atlanta Beltline has greatly expanded its small-business incubator program, now supporting 13 local entrepreneurs in various industries, including vegan food, fashion, and haircuts. The program aims to provide affordable workspace and business mentoring, with 85% of the new businesses being Black-owned.
Currently, there are four Marketplace locations along the Beltline:
- Marketplace @ Allene – Features Glaciers Italian Ice and Good As Burgers.
- Marketplace @ Freedom Parkway – Includes Kronchy, Life Bistro, and Mason’s Super Dogs.
- Marketplace @ Pittsburgh Yards – Houses Carrot Dog, Coffyn Pyes, Ideal Barber Group, and The Creamy Spot by GOAP.
- Marketplace @ Irwin – Contains businesses like ELEVEN17, eLo Vegan Lifestyle, Try Deas and Other Treats, and Vine & Olive.
Each Marketplace consists of up to four business spaces crafted from customized shipping containers. Over 125 applications were reviewed to select the current entrepreneurs.
