Royale Energy Progress in the Permian Basin
Royale Energy is making strides in the development of its Ector County, Texas acreage, currently operating nine producing wells and a tenth in the completion stage.

Working Interest: The company holds a 7.5% working interest in about 16,600 gross acres in the Permian Basin.

Production Details: The ninth well, completed in early 2026, started production in May with an initial output of 1,031 barrels of oil per day (bopd) and 1.915 million cubic feet per day (MMcfd) of natural gas. Royale’s portion of this production is approximately 77 bopd and 144 Mcfd.

Performance Metrics: All nine active wells are performing at or above the company’s estimated type curve, which projects an ultimate recovery of about 113 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per lateral foot, with around 80% oil weighting.

Future Development: The tenth well is undergoing hydraulic fracturing, with flowback anticipated in about 30 days. Furthermore, the company is evaluating the Woodford interval for potential development opportunities.

Additional Locations: Royale believes it has 30 to 39 undeveloped Barnett locations across 12,940 gross undeveloped acres, depending on lateral length. They have also identified over 40 additional potential locations targeting the Woodford.

Continued Drilling: Drilling activities are expected to persist throughout 2026, with more wells planned for 2027.

Future Projects: In addition, Royale plans to drill a horizontal Odom well in the Jameson North field in the first half of 2027. They possess a 100% working interest in approximately 7,465 net acres in this area and have outlined over five additional Odom horizontal prospects using 3D seismic data.
