This week, we are excited to introduce you to Xena, a lovable giant looking for her forever home through the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. Xena weighs in at 85 pounds and is described as a big lovebug who wants to be by your side.
About Xena:
- Temperament: Xena has never met a stranger and instantly considers everyone her new best friend.
- Compatibility: She has previously lived with other dogs and enjoys meeting them at the shelter. While she seems great with kids due to her gentle nature, she is quite large and strong, making a proper introduction important.
- Feline Friends: The shelter is currently unsure about her feelings towards cats.

Visiting Hours:
Interested adopters can visit the shelter located at 217 Landing Road, Westbrook:
- Open 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Closed on Wednesdays)
- Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign-in sheets are outdoors starting at 9 a.m. for those who arrive early.
Important Note:
If you already own a dog and wish to adopt Xena or any other dog over 6 months old, a meet-and-greet is required before bringing home the new pet.
