“Good Morning America’s” weekend edition has undergone a lineup change, introducing new co-anchors Whit Johnson, Gio Benitez, Rachel Scott, and Rhiannon Ally.
Starting September 12, Rachel Scott will co-anchor with Johnson on Saturdays, while Ally partners with Benitez on Sundays. Leslie Lopez has also joined as the new weekend meteorologist, succeeding Somara Theodore, who will shift to weekday meteorology for “ABC News Live.”
These changes come after Janai Norman’s departure from the weekend program earlier this year, a move she described as sudden. Norman plans to release a memoir discussing her experiences balancing her career and personal challenges.
