Welding Mishap Determined to be the Cause of Blaze that Ruined Richmond Company

A fire caused by welding activities destroyed A&W Auto Sales and Service in Richmond on Monday. According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, a vehicle caught fire while being welded inside the garage, causing flames to spread throughout the building and to vehicles outside. The blaze resulted in the destruction of the garage and an apartment above it. One employee sustained a minor burn but did not require hospitalization. The fire has been deemed accidental.
