LOS ANGELES — Tarik Skubal delivered a commanding start, pitching the longest outing since joining the Dodgers, while Teoscar Hernández continued his outstanding performance during the homestand, leading to a tight 3-2 victory against the Cincinnati Reds.

Skubal was effective on the mound, not allowing a hit through the first two innings. However, in the third, he surrendered a single to Dane Myers and a towering home run to Elly De La Cruz that tied the game. Those were the only two runs Skubal allowed during his outing.
Manager Dave Roberts praised Skubal’s efficiency, noting that he tends to be most successful around 75-80 pitches when he’s on top of his game. Skubal managed to get through six innings on just 84 pitches, eventually completing 7 1/3 innings with only 94 pitches—a performance reminiscent of his shutout against Cleveland on May 25, 2025.

After Skubal’s departure, Edgardo Henriquez took over and successfully faced the top of the Reds’ order, striking out Sal Stewart and keeping the tying run stranded. Tanner Scott rounded off the game, securing his 22nd save with a tense ninth inning, despite allowing a walk.
