NBA’s Malik Beasley Wants Green Light for Hawaii Trip Amid Federal Betting Case

NBA player Malik Beasley is seeking permission to travel despite existing federal restrictions. He wishes to visit his children in California and then travel to Hawaii for a work-related event.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Beasley has requested the court allow him to travel from September 6 to 15, making stops in Rancho Mirage, Beverly Hills, and Hawaii. His lawyer emphasized that the visit to California is essential for Beasley to spend time with his two young children before school resumes.
Once in Hawaii, Beasley has plans for a resort promotion linked to his social media work. Prosecutors reportedly have no objections to his travel request. Beasley has also agreed to provide his complete itinerary, stay reachable by phone, and return to Miami after his trip.
Previously, Beasley was charged in June in connection with a federal sports betting case that allegedly involved his performance during the 2023-24 NBA season. During his July arraignment, he pleaded not guilty to several charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bribery in sporting contests, and was released on a $100,000 bond.
