IXPE Guest Observer (GO) Program
The IXPE (Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer) Guest Observer Program is currently soliciting proposals for various astrophysical investigations not limited to IXPE’s core science areas. Researchers are invited to submit proposals that would contribute to advancing IXPE’s science mission.
Proposal Types
- Standard Observations
- Target-of-Opportunity (ToO)
- Large Program (LP)
- Multi-cycle Observations
IXPE plans to conduct approximately one high-priority and seven medium-priority triggers during this GO cycle:
- High-Priority: Observations starting within 9 days
- Medium-Priority: Observations starting between 9 days and 4 weeks
Key Dates
- Proposal Due Date: Phase-1 Proposals must be submitted via ARK RPS by September 17, 2026.
- Joint Observations: Note that joint observations with Swift have been removed from IXPE GO Cycle 4, effective September 8, 2026.
