Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) has established four new articulation agreements with the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (UW-Oshkosh) for students pursuing degrees in business. These agreements create clear transfer pathways for graduates of FVTC’s Associate of Applied Science programs in accounting, finance, business management, and marketing, allowing them to seamlessly transfer 60 or more credits into corresponding Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs at UW-Oshkosh.
Scott Borley, dean of business and IT at FVTC, emphasized that these agreements help students avoid barriers, enabling them to focus on their long-term career goals. FVTC President Dr. Chris Matheny and UW-Oshkosh Chancellor Manohar Singh both highlighted the importance of collaboration and how these agreements facilitate efficient transitions to bachelor’s degrees.
The specifics of the transfer pathways include:
– FVTC accounting graduates to the BBA accounting major at UW-Oshkosh.
– FVTC finance graduates to the BBA finance major.
– FVTC business management graduates to the BBA management major with an entrepreneurship emphasis.
– FVTC marketing graduates to the BBA marketing major.
These new agreements enhance a pre-existing partnership between FVTC and UW-Oshkosh, which already includes pathways in other fields like aviation management and nursing, ultimately aiming to provide students with valuable, transferable education and skills for high-demand careers in the region.
