Nearly €250 million has been mobilised by Eurobiomed members in the first half of 2026. This includes €228.8 million in private funding and €18.8 million in public funding.

Biotech firms dominate the fundraising scene, accounting for 60.5% of the total raised, compared to medtech at 26% and digital health at 13.5%.

Intensive Support from Eurobiomed

In H1 2026, Eurobiomed provided extensive support, including:

  • 49 R&D projects reviewed or supported
  • 66 individual company support engagements
  • 118 qualified matchmaking introductions
  • 312 member participations in ecosystem events

11 companies benefited from the Invest In Biomed programme, dedicated to fundraising preparation, which involved 30 investors and over 75 B2B meetings.

Eurobiomed serves as a key cluster for HealthTech innovation in Southern France, recently releasing its first-half 2026 review that outlines the industry dynamics in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Occitanie regions. Eurobiomed is actively adapting to a more demanding market, focusing on Invest In Biomed to enhance fundraising efforts. This includes in-depth positioning strategies to ensure companies align with investor expectations.

Industry Maturation and Consolidation

The first half of 2026 saw significant transactions:

  • A €60 million fundraising round by Sensorion
  • A €48 million round by MedinCell
  • A strategic license agreement between Vect-Horus and Servier

These movements highlight Southern France’s emerging role in the global HealthTech landscape.
