Eyal Golan, Sarit Hadad, and Avi Ohayon topped ACUM’s annual rankings for Israel’s most played songs, performers, songwriters, and composers.
Golan’s song “Mada Bidyoni” (“Science Fiction”) was the most aired track on Israeli radio during the Hebrew year 5786, according to ACUM, an organization that protects the rights of composers, lyricists, and publishers. This year marks its 90th anniversary, and the rankings were based on the AcumOnAir monitoring system tracking broadcasts from 34 licensed radio stations.
Despite recent sexual harassment allegations against Golan, his popularity remains unaffected. Peer Tasi’s “Of Muzar” (“Strange Bird”) came in second, with Noam Bettan’s “Michelle” taking third. Tasi’s previous year’s hit, “Ma Yihye Machar” (“What Will Be Tomorrow”), dropped to fourth place.

6. Odeya Azoulay – “Rocky”

9. Tasi – “Hee Lo Yoda’at Lama” (“She Doesn’t Know Why”)
10. Ben Zur – “Kol Akeva Letova” (“Every Delay is for the Best”)
Avi Ohayon was named the most-played songwriter and composer for the eighth consecutive year, while Tslil Klifi emerged as the top female songwriter. Sarit Hadad led the female performers, with Eden Ben Zaken and Odeya Azoulay following.
The rankings reflected the enduring presence of contemporary Mediterranean and mainstream Israeli pop, alongside veteran artists like Arik Einstein and Shlomo Artzi. ACUM’s CEO and chairman expressed a commitment to supporting Israeli music creators and wished for a productive year ahead filled with peace and creativity.
