SEOUL, South Korea–(BUSINESS WIRE)–September 7, 2026
Manta, a global content platform, has announced new worldwide distribution deals with prominent Japanese publishers KADOKAWA, Square Enix, and Manga UP!, enhancing its manga offerings significantly. This move follows their launch of a manga category in April, which initially featured titles from major publisher Kodansha.
The recent agreements have added over 300 popular titles to Manta’s roster, including:
- The Apothecary Diaries
- Proud to be the Villainess: I’m Doomed After Stealing my Half-Sister’s Fiance and Having Her Banished
- Daemons of the Shadow Realm by Hiromu Arakawa
- TOKYO RAVENS
To celebrate this expansion, Manta will offer the first three chapters of select new titles for free and a 30% discount on all manga titles, making it easier for new readers to delve into manga.
Yupil Won, CEO of RIDI & Manta CIC, stated that the company is witnessing a trend where readers of webcomics and webnovels naturally transition to manga. He emphasized the company’s intent to reach new global audiences by leveraging RIDI’s experience in serving Japanese comics.
Manta is accessible via Google Play, the Apple App Store, and on the web.
