THE RUNDOWN
- Lili Reinhart paid homage to Kate Hudson’s iconic look from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days during her recent press appearance for The Love Hypothesis.
- She wore a 2000s Caché dupe of the Carolina Herrera dress featured in the film.
- Her stylist mentioned that Reinhart will honor several famous rom-com leads throughout her press tour.
Lili Reinhart is currently promoting The Love Hypothesis, showcasing her flair for nostalgic fashion. On September 6, she posted a playful Instagram carousel wearing a long, silk butter yellow dress reminiscent of Hudson’s character, Andie Anderson.
To accentuate the throwback vibe, she included Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” as a soundtrack and expressed her admiration for Hudson’s character. The dress, crafted by her stylist Ib Abdel Nasser, is a 2000s Caché imitation of the original made specifically for Hudson by Carolina Herrera.
The unique color of the original dress was designed to match a diamond necklace pivotal to the film’s climax. Reinhart posed in her homage dress after completing press engagements in Latin America.
Nasser revealed that Reinhart plans to honor various leading ladies of classic rom-coms throughout her promotion, starting with this striking tribute in Brazil.
Notably, The Love Hypothesis is also an adaptation, and Reinhart, who serves as an executive producer, feels a strong responsibility to convey the book’s essence on-screen. She emphasized the importance of invoking the same feelings viewers had while reading the novel.
Throughout her press run, she has dazzled in a variety of designer pieces, including archival Roberto Cavalli, Leo Lin, and Emanuel Ungaro by Giambattista Valli. Fans eagerly anticipate what’s next in her stylish repertoire.
