Krafton Chairman Chang Byung-gyu recently met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, reaffirming the company’s commitment to India’s gaming and technology industries. During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for deeper cooperation in gaming and emerging technologies.
Krafton has invested $250 million in India so far and intends to invest another $250 million in the next three to four years, totaling around $500 million. Additionally, the company has established a $670 million venture growth fund to support local investments.
Chang highlighted India’s potential, citing its exceptional talent in gaming and technology, and expressed long-term confidence in contributing to India’s digital economy. Krafton also plans to engage with Indian creators and developers through investment and skills development initiatives, including their KIGI Academy program aimed at fostering skills in game development.
The company has expanded its presence by acquiring Pune-based Nautilus Mobile, known for its Real Cricket franchise, as part of its strategy to develop local talent and intellectual property. Krafton aims to help India become a global hub for gaming and tech innovation through its ongoing investments.
