Actor Bruce Campbell recently revealed that he has five years to live while undergoing treatment for cancer. In his interview on “The Adam Carolla Show,” he emphasized his decision to live with the illness, stating, “I’ve decided though, pretty specifically, to live with it, not die from it.” He refrained from disclosing the specific type of cancer but shared that it is “treatable” but not “curable.”
Campbell first announced his diagnosis in March, expressing that it was a shock to him. He mentioned that his treatment necessitates changes to his professional commitments, including appearances and work obligations.
Despite these challenges, Campbell remains focused on promoting his independent film, “Ernie & Emma,” which he has written, directed, produced, and stars in. He expressed a sense of freedom when discussing the film, asserting, “You have to make this decision of, ‘Well, OK, but do I have to stop everything that I’m doing because of this?’ Well, no.” He concluded with a poignant remark: “It’s not just, you don’t die for cancer. You die from what cancer does to you.”
