VENICE, Italy (AP) — The Venice Film Festival is a hub of excitement as rock legend Noel Gallagher and Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher join Robert Pattinson for world premieres on Saturday.
Robert Pattinson Takes on a Controversial Role
Pattinson stars in “Primetime,” directed by Lance Oppenheim. The film, a dramatization based on a gripping Esquire article, explores the controversial reality series “To Catch a Predator” and its host, Chris Hansen. The narrative centers on a tragic sting operation that led to the suicide of Texas assistant district attorney Bill Conradt. The film is set for U.S. release on September 25.
Despite his absence from the film’s production, Hansen has publicly critiqued it, suggesting he felt Denis Leary would have been a better choice to portray him. A previous documentary on the series, “Predators,” is available for streaming on Paramount+.
Oasis Returns with a Documentary
The Gallagher brothers are back in a new documentary titled “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger,” documenting their 2025 reunion tour. With behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage and their first joint interview in 25 years, the film delves into their famously tumultuous relationship. It premieres in U.S. theaters on September 11, followed by an expected release on Disney+.
