The Marblehead Cultural Council is now accepting applications for its 2027 grant cycle, providing funding for projects in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences. Applications opened on September 1 and are due by October 15. To qualify, projects must enhance the quality of life for Marblehead residents.
The council allocates grants for local cultural initiatives, including performances, art installations, and educational trips. It aims to support both emerging and established artists, focusing on projects that engage diverse age groups and cultural experiences.
Council Chair Jeanie Stahl expressed excitement for the cycle, emphasizing the desire for projects that are creative and meaningful. The Marblehead Cultural Council is part of a wider network supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, among 329 local organizations funded by the state.
