Community Beyond Violence Opens New Office in Nevada City
Celebration Event:
Community Beyond Violence (CBV), a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting survivors of intimate partner violence, is thrilled to announce the opening of its new office in Nevada City. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, at 4:30 p.m. at 208 Providence Mine Road, Suites 219–222. Community members, partners, and local leaders are warmly invited to join in this celebration.
New Office Space:
The new location will provide a welcoming and functional environment for CBV’s growing team and programs, enhancing its ability to strengthen partnerships and expand its impact across Western Nevada County.
Significance of the New Space:
Kirsten Dees, Board President of CBV, expressed, “This new space represents an important milestone for Community Beyond Violence. It reflects our commitment to ensuring that survivors have access to compassionate support right here in our community.”
Organizational Impact:
CBV collaborates closely with partners to provide comprehensive support to survivors, working alongside county, courts, and law enforcement to advocate for positive change in systems that allow intimate partner violence to thrive. In 2025 alone, CBV provided significant services, including:
- 1,099 total services to survivors
- 1,149 crisis line calls answered
- 773 survivors served
- 3,416 nights of emergency shelter provided
- 4,585 counseling sessions facilitated
Community Support:
Executive Director Allison Bischofberger noted, “Our work is only possible because of the incredible network of community partners, donors, volunteers, and supporters who believe that everyone deserves to live free from violence.”
