The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber held its annual Salute to Business awards on Thursday at the Eastwood Event Centre in Niles, honoring four outstanding individuals for their contributions to the Mahoning Valley.

As director of economic development for Youngstown, Gilchrist has successfully driven initiatives to attract businesses and revitalized neighborhoods, focusing on sectors such as advanced manufacturing and technology. -
Meghan Reed – Nonprofit Professional of the Year
Reed leads the Trumbull County Historical Society and is instrumental in establishing the Museum of Science Fiction & Fantasy Arts, which is the first of its kind in the U.S. -
Tom Duma – Small Business Professional of the Year
Founder of Thom Duma Fine Jewelers, Duma has built a reputable luxury jewelry business while actively mentoring fellow jewelers and participating in industry boards.

Guy Coviello, president and CEO of the Regional Chamber, highlighted the economic strengths of the Mahoning Valley, emphasizing its high rankings in economic and business development. With notable investments from companies like Kimberly-Clark and Vallourec, the region is poised for continued growth.
