Business Update: Three New Stores Opening in Columbia

New Businesses Open in Columbia

Two new businesses celebrated their grand openings this week in Columbia, while another store that opened in April is working to attract more customers.

Marcos Pizza

Marcos Pizza officially joined the Columbia community with its grand opening on August 31. Located at 911 Rainforest Parkway, owner Klayton Anderson emphasized the restaurant’s commitment to quality.

“We offer fresh produce, great service, and great people,” Anderson stated. Their dough is made fresh daily, and vegetables are cut in-house. “All of this is controlled by us, and I think our product is better than any other pizza place in town,” he added.

Hours of Operation:

  • Sunday – Thursday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Friday – Saturday: 10 a.m. to midnight.

The Fifth Season

The Fifth Season held its grand opening on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This store, located in the Broadway Shopping Center at 1729 W. Broadway, Suite 4, specializes in home and seasonal decor, as well as party supplies.

The Plant Shop

The Plant Shop (TPS), which opened on April 18 in Columbia Mall, is situated in the JC Penney wing. TPS offers a wide variety of plants, including rare finds and starter plants. They also host social events such as plant bingo, workshops, and plant swaps, fostering a community environment.

“We always wanted a place where our community can come together and get hands-on experience with plants as well as learn about them,” said Crystal Martin, TPS Chief Marketing Officer.

Hours of Operation:

  • Thursday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday & Saturday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: Noon to 5 p.m.

These new additions are set to enhance the local retail landscape, offering diverse products and experiences for the community.
