Super Bowl Champion Invites Australian Business Leaders to Support Ukrainian Youth
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, Sept. 04, 2026 — On September 10, WhiteBIT Australia will host an exclusive event in Melbourne featuring Super Bowl XXIX Champion and five-time Pro Bowler Ricky Watters as the Honorary Head Coach. The gathering aims to raise funds for the Field of Hope program in Ukraine, designed to support young athletes in Lviv impacted by the ongoing conflict.
The initiative, developed with the Lviv Lions, provides equipment, coaching, and ongoing training opportunities for young Ukrainians. Watters will lead an innovative networking format centering around a competitive game, encouraging community engagement while fostering relationships among prominent business figures from various sectors, including finance and technology.
Rosa Pagani, CEO of WhiteBIT Australia, emphasized the importance of creating bonds through shared experiences rather than traditional meetings. She expressed a commitment to supporting youth in Ukraine: “If we can help, of course we will. That’s the way we do things; we get involved.”
The event is part of a broader series by WhiteBIT aiming to blend business with philanthropic efforts, particularly as flag football prepares for its Olympic debut in 2028. Young athletes aged 10 to 18 in Ukraine will gain crucial opportunities for development and growth during this challenging time.
WhiteBIT, founded by Ukrainian entrepreneur Volodymyr Nosov, has historically contributed over A$14 million to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. “I am proud that our Australian team is using its network to create opportunities for Ukrainian children,” Nosov said.
Funds raised will be transparently tracked via the EffortX platform, which underpins the campaign, ensuring donors understand the impact of their contributions. The fundraising effort is open to public support beyond the private event.
