Fox News is parting ways with longtime business news anchor Maria Bartiromo, effective immediately. The network announced her departure on Thursday afternoon, noting that the morning episode of “Mornings with Maria” on Fox Business was her last.
In a statement, Fox expressed gratitude, saying, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.” Bartiromo’s departure is significant, marking the most surprising change at Fox since Tucker Carlson left in April 2023. The announcement did not provide specific reasons for her exit.
In response to Bartiromo’s departure, Fox will replace “Mornings with Maria,” which aired from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET, with “Mornings with FOX Business,” hosted by rotating anchors starting Friday. Additionally, her weekly show, “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” will change to “FBN’s Wall Street,” hosted by Cheryl Casone this week, also featuring rotating hosts going forward.
On the Fox News Channel, “Sunday Morning Futures,” airing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET, will be hosted this week by Jason Chaffetz, a former Republican congressman-turned-Fox analyst, with plans for a different host in the future.
Bartiromo did not respond to CNN’s request for comment.
