Car collides with wall at Manhattan’s Midwest Dream Car Collection.

In Manhattan, Kansas, the Midwest Dream Car Collection is recovering after a late-night vehicle crash damaged several classic cars and created a substantial hole in the building. The incident, which was initially thought to have been an explosion, was captured on security footage. The driver reportedly experienced a medical emergency and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Bradli Nowak, the event coordinator, described the scene as chaotic, with debris everywhere, while exhibit curator Doug Meloan expressed his disbelief upon arriving at the scene. The aftermath required significant cleanup efforts, which were assisted by first responders. Despite the damage to some vehicles, museum staff noted that the situation could have been much worse.

Community members have rallied to help, demonstrating the strong support within the Manhattan and Flint Hills areas. The exhibit plans to reopen this Friday.
