Free Adoption Month at the Town of Oyster Bay Animal Shelter
The Town of Oyster Bay Animal Shelter is excited to announce Free Adoption Month throughout September. During this time, all general adoption fees for pets will be waived!
Key Details:
- Location: 150 Miller Place, Syosset
- Adoption Fees: Regular fees of $80 for dogs and $84 for cats will be waived.
- Included Services: Each adoption will include spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping.
Councilwoman Laura Maier emphasized the value of shelter pets: “Most shelter pets wind up there through no fault of their own… they are already housetrained and familiar with family settings. They truly appreciate a second chance.”
Additional Event:
The town will also host a Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Microchip services will be available for a $25 fee.
Shelter Hours:
- Open: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
