Examining Benjamin Larson: The Role of Forensic Specialists in Identifying Human Remains

The article details the investigation into Benjamin Larson, who is facing charges including felony stalking and concealing stolen property. Evidence gathered during a search of his home in Taycheedah includes potentially human remains such as bones, teeth, and hair.

Court documents indicate Larson stalked a woman from 2013 to 2026, sending her letters and filing complaints against her professional license. Alongside the stalking charges, Larson faces charges of felony bail jumping and obstructing an officer, stemming from a recent interview with law enforcement.

During the Aug. 14 search warrant execution, investigators found multiple sets of unidentified human remains in various states, including a coffin with a skeleton and skulls displayed throughout the residence. Forensic anthropologist Dr. Jordan Karsten determined that some remains were archaeological Native American, while others appeared to be modern human remains, with signs of being cut or altered.

The investigation is ongoing as forensic experts work to identify the remains, which may have been obtained illegally. Larson has not provided satisfactory documentation for the remains in his possession and is currently in custody.
