Spokane Valley Man Taken into Custody Once More Following Late-Night Business Calls | Spokane News

On August 31, 2026, Dane D. Riffe, a 43-year-old man, was released from the Spokane County Jail after being held on felony burglary and misdemeanor theft charges. Just hours after his release, deputies received multiple reports from businesses on South Geiger Boulevard about Riffe loitering and causing disturbances.

Initially called around 11:10 p.m., employees noted that he was bothering customers but chose not to pursue charges. Within an hour, he returned to the same location, prompting further calls to law enforcement. Despite being warned to leave by nearby businesses, Riffe continued to frequent the establishments.

Several incidents occurred throughout the night, leading deputies to respond multiple times. At 2:40 a.m., another call resulted in Riffe being trespassed once again. A final call around 4:20 a.m. led to his arrest for first-degree criminal trespass after he returned to the original business.

Riffe was subsequently booked back into Spokane County Jail.
