Subaru of America Supports Shelter Animals with $3.2 Million Donation
CAMDEN, NJ / ACCESS Newswire / October 1, 2026 – Subaru of America, Inc. has announced an impressive $3.2 million contribution to local animal shelters through its Subaru Loves Pets® initiative. This funding, administered by the ASPCA®, underscores Subaru’s commitment to improving the lives of shelter animals nationwide through adoption and health services.

In 2025, approximately 5.8 million animals entered U.S. shelters, highlighting the urgent need for support. Subaru, as the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA, has committed to generating more than $75 million for animal welfare organizations since the launch of Subaru Loves Pets.
National Make A Dog’s Day
On October 22, Subaru will celebrate National Make A Dog’s Day, a campaign encouraging the adoption of older dogs and those with disabilities. Alan Bethke, Senior VP of Marketing, stated, “When a shelter pet finds a loving home, they become part of our families. The goal of Subaru Loves Pets is to ensure that more animals have that chance.”

Community Involvement
Throughout October, Subaru retailers will host various pet-focused events, including adoption drives and microchipping. Additionally, Subaru aims to involve the community by donating $1 to the ASPCA for new subscribers of Subie Texts, up to $25,000. They will also contribute $30 for each purchase of select pet-friendly accessories and $1 for each Animals Badge of Ownership ordered.
